Check out some of my recent web design projects. Keep in mind the possibilities for your site are not limited by the styles you see here. I can bring your vision to reality! If you want to see logo designs, click here. For photography, click here.

ZIGZAGClimbing.com

ZIGZAGClimbing.com has been recently launched, and this is a big one. I worked closely with the company founder and a designer at ZIGZAG Climbing to mold and shape this site into what is seen today. The client had a big vision and a high attention to detail. It really shows on this standout top of it’s class e-commerce website. ZIGZAGClimbing.com presents new innovative patented products for the Rock Climbing and Gym Climbing enthusiast. This project is special for me because rock climbing is one of my passions. I hope to do more website, photography and drone work in the rock climbing and outdoor industry sector.

OakKnollMeadows.com

OakKnollMeadows.com is a website for the Oak Knoll Meadows Home Owners Association in Ashland Oregon. The website functions in two ways. One, as a public showcase of the Oak Knoll Meadows neighborhood. And secondly, as a password protected HOA members only hub for information and communication.  Once logged in, HOA members can view the latest HOA news, rules and regulation documents, an image gallery and even the ability to post classified ads. A system for member to pay HOA dues online is in development. Custom photography of the beautiful grounds and aerial drone shots (both done by me) complete the attractive presentation.

Sarayo Sauce

SarayoSauce.com

Sarayo Sauce is a really tasty “Creamy Spicy Umami” sauce from Oregon. From logo (label) design, to web design to photography I get to use my full range of skills with this client. I re-designed their old website with a new more modern responsive layout and fresh design. I also designed their current bottle labels, seen in supermarkets across the country. The site includes a location finder to find out where you can buy the sauce, recipes on the blog and instagram feed. Recently, MailChimp integration for promotional campaigns and mailing list generation was added. I also do product photography for their bottles.  Check out their sauce, it’s great!

A Greener World

AGreenerWorld.org

A Greener World is an independent non-profit farm certification program for sustainable high-welfare farming practices.  Their main goal was to take two older websites and combine them in to one main site. This major task involved 100 pages of content, a re-design, re-engineering site structure and content administration for ease of updating, and more. The site includes a searchable map based location finder, blog, e-commerce shop and recurring donation system. It was rewarding to complete such a large project as well as work with an organization that already aligns with my values. I provide support and updates for AGW on an ongoing basis.

Farm Made

FarmMade.com

FarmMade promotes the growth of small farms and sells hand crafted farm products. The client and I worked closely to achieve the design aesthetic they had envisioned. The site is e-commerce enabled with Woocommerce, and also focuses on blogging. Other highlights include popup and on-site newsletter signups tied to Mailchimp, custom design work, custom logo on sticky header and social media streams. I also did product photography for many of the products.

Plateau Forest Products

Plateaufp.com

Plateau Forest Products came to me needing a website re-design and upgrade. We worked together over multiple design iterations until we landed on a layout that suited their needs. During the process I took photographs to represent their location in the Old Mill District of Bend, Oregon, resulting in the image you see of the Old Mill smoke stacks and Mt Bachelor on the home page. I feel this image made a pivotal difference in moving the site away from a generic look and into something more unique. Another highlight is the header, logo and menu functionality, which required some custom code.

Pacific Herbs

PacHerbs.com

I have supported Pacific Herbs for several years with their web based e-commerce efforts. For the current website I took what was an OpenCart based e-shop and rolled it in to this WordPress site I designed. Moving to WordPress and Woocommerce has proven to be a good move for efficiency of administration and flexibility in functionality. The shop includes a few interesting functions such as drop-shipping functionality, a full affiliate program, and even print on demand products that integrate seamlessly with the cart. If you need quality herbs for weight loss, sleep quality, pms relief and more check them out.

Nouvola

Nouvola.com

Nouvola is an up and coming Oregon company providing performance testing and analytics solutions for Dev-Ops. They came to me with a design already completed by a Portland based design firm, and tasked me with turning that in to a complete functional and responsive website. This can be challenging, depending on the design, but the result turned out great and very close to the design brief. Working alone, I sometimes partner with outside talent, and I did in this case for some custom javascript functionality. The fixed header on this site is especially cool. Additions and changes have been made to this site since my contract completion.

Highliner Custom Rods

HighlinerCustomRods.com

Bill Amerongen from Bend Oregon makes world class custom fishing rods. He came to me wanting a new website; something that would best showcase his work. We decided on a left-side menu area leaving the whole right side of the screen for the images showcasing the rods. I worked closely with Bill to composite all the rods in specific arrangements, as well as do extensive photoshop re-touching to remove blemishes like dust. The result is a gallery-like website that really shows off his beautiful work. If you like fishing, check out this site. It really is world class level craftsmanship.

RodMounts

RodMounts.com

I did this new responsive website re-design for the bend company RodMounts a couple years ago and it’s really holding up nicely. Showcasing the product was a priority which we achieved with lightbox image popups and scrolling sliders. We used a tab based section on product pages to offer maximum information in a smaller area, avoiding a long page. The home page slider lets users get to their desired product intuitively in one click. On this site, e-commerce is handled by an off-site cart, not managed by me.

This is just a recent sampling of favorite projects. I’ve done many websites over the last 11 years! Note that for the above sites, edits or changes outside my control may have been done after contract completion.
